John Harper was a Scottish preacher who became a little-known hero during the infamous sinking of the RMS Titanic in 1912. As the ship went down, Harper remained calm, helping others and pointing people to Christ. He gave up his life jacket to a fellow passenger to give them a better chance of survival. While in the icy waters, Harper continued to share the gospel with those nearby until he went down for the last time.
